Mental Health Treatment Center in Florida

Beachway Therapy Center is committed to helping patients overcome mental health disorders through outstanding, innovative, and highly individualized care. We understand that co-occurring mental health disorders require specialized attention, and we’re proud to be a nationally recognized provider of substance abuse treatment. We offer a path towards healing through a multidisciplinary team approach, including combining evidence-based therapeutic interventions with medication management. Our holistic approach treats the whole person by healing the mind, body, and spirit.

What Our Florida Inpatient Mental Health Facility Treats

Our mental health treatment center in Florida offers treatment plans designed with many mental health and substance use disorders in mind, including mental health and dual diagnosis treatment plans.

Bipolar Disorder

The mood and behavioral shifts associated with bipolar disorder can negatively affect many aspects of a person’s life — professionally, socially, and more. Our licensed mental health counselors are experienced in treating this complex condition through a combination of psychiatric care and holistic therapy.

Depression Treatment

Depression affects millions of Americans, making everyday life incredibly difficult. You may experience persistent feelings of sadness, a loss of interest in activities, or that life isn’t worth living. At our depression treatment center, our team uses a personalized combination of holistic and traditional therapies to help patients overcome their specific type of depression.

Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety disorders can interfere with your ability to function and make it difficult to get through the day. You may respond to normal activities with fear or experience physical symptoms such as sweating and rapid heartbeat. At our anxiety treatment center, we specialize in treating all different types of anxiety disorders, including social anxiety disorder (SAD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).

Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Though often misunderstood, PTSD or the mental toll associated with a past trauma are serious conditions that could lead to additional mental health concerns (such as depression) or addiction if left untreated. Our mental health treatment center in Florida offers trauma-focused therapy and counseling to help enable patients on their journey to recovery.

Personality Disorders

Specific personality disorders, such as narcissistic or borderline personality disorder, can greatly impact a person’s life and relationships. Our mental health treatment programs are customized for each individual to help them face the symptoms of their disorder and continue to heal.

Addiction and Substance Use Disorders

Addiction and substance use disorders often go hand in hand with mental health issues, which is why dual diagnosis treatment can be an important resource. Beachway helps patients to overcome addiction and substance abuse through highly individualized care and a combination of traditional rehabilitation or detox programs with holistic therapy.

Device Addiction

An addiction to a mobile phone or other devices can negatively impact a person’s quality of life or ability to function properly. At our mental health treatment center in Florida, our unique and individualized approach to treating device addiction includes treatment options such as art or music therapy and recreational activities to help break the cycle.

According to the CDC, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in America among all age groups. Unfortunately, the warning signs of suicidal behavior — including feelings of emptiness or hopelessness, increased risk-taking, extreme mood swings, and verbalizing intent to self-harm — too often are left untreated. Our team provides the inpatient and outpatient care and therapy needed to help individuals heal from depression and live a renewed life free of suicidal thoughts.

Grief and Loss

Losing a loved one such as a friend or family member can leave a significant hole or feeling of emptiness in a person’s life. These feelings can grow worse with time and potentially lead to other mental health issues, including suicidality and substance use disorders. Through individualized care, clinical support, and holistic therapies, patients can heal from the trauma and find renewed strength in life. Our mental health treatment center in Florida uses dual diagnosis treatment plans to help patients by getting at the root cause of their mental health issues.

Phase of Life Issues

Throughout the different stages or milestones of life, a person may face a variety of challenges — both physical and mental. These challenges can negatively affect an individual’s mental health and can lead to or exacerbate other mental health disorders. From care at our inpatient mental health facility to personalized outpatient care, our holistic approach to therapy is designed to empower patients and help to renew a healthy outlook on life.

The mental challenges that stem from a debilitating sense of loneliness, which can include anxiety and depression, can lead to serious mental and physical health problems. Our anxiety treatment center offers options such as cognitive behavior therapy to help patients feel more empowered in life. Our depression treatment center also offers therapy options such as holistic therapy to help patients make the world a warmer and welcoming place.
