Outpatient Rehab Services
Three Categories of Outpatient Rehab
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
This level of outpatient treatment generally provides 20 or more hours of services per week for a person who does not require 24/7 care. PHP meets the need of people struggling with addiction and co-occurring conditions. PHP clients can access Beachway’s full spectrum of therapies, just as our other patients do. Simply put, PHP is a combination of IOP and OP (both outlined below). It includes inpatient therapy during the day, while the patient stays in specific housing at night.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
This level of outpatient treatment usually includes 9 or more hours of services per week to support a person who is struggling with addiction and dual diagnoses. The organized outpatient services include a range of individual, group/family therapy, and with holistic rehab.
Outpatient treatment consists of 1-2 hours of services, multiple days a week. This is designed to support recovery and that can range from motivational enhancement therapies and strategies, to Beachway’s range of holistic addiction treatment, therapies and support groups. Overcoming substance abuse is a massive challenge for those seeking the skills to cope with the pressures of balancing recovery with day-to-day living. An outpatient rehab solution for substance abuse is not for everyone, but for those who can manage balancing their daily routines with outpatient substance abuse treatment rehab, this is a great recovery option.
Benefits of Outpatient Rehab
Outpatient clients can access a type of cognitive behavioral therapy called dialectical behavior therapy. DBT helps a person validate and communicate an understanding of their behaviors.
Research shows that DBT is effective in treating addiction and mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders.
Neurotherapy Neurotherapy, also called neurofeedback or neurobiofeedback, uses real-time displays of brain activity (EEG) to teach the brain to self-regulate. Maintaining certain brainwave patterns controls mood states and behaviors. Neurotherapy tools are an effective intervention for mental health issues that drive addiction.
By using traditional EEG brain-wave biofeedback and brain stimulation techniques, we can prescribe an individualized treatment plan, track progress and modify treatment.
Outpatient rehab provides individual therapy with a counselor to provide ongoing care after inpatient rehab. Beachway is a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) and is CARF-accredited as a rehab clinic that delivers industry-standard care.
Group Therapy Participate in Beachway’s group therapy sessions and continue connecting with peers who are in recovery. Our therapists are addiction professionals—counselors, educators and addition-focused healthcare professionals that specialize in addiction prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery support and education as identified by the NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.
Offerings include art therapy guided by trained art therapists and equine therapy led through The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) and the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).
Beachway also offers music therapy, psychodrama and a range of spa services along with chiropractic care and acupuncture to detoxify, reduce pain and discomfort, and ease the continued recovery process.
Trauma-Focused Group Counseling For many people, The root cause of addiction is trauma that a person has buried deep. Trauma can impact brain waves and how the brain electrical system works, which can affect a person’s ability to self-regulate. Beachway offers trauma-focused group counseling with a therapist who specializes in this discipline.
Family recovery services and programs help heal loved ones and create a strong support network for a person who is living a new, sober life. Family therapy is guided by a specialist in addiction counseling for families.
